Therapy for Teens
In-person and online therapy in Arizona for teens to explore and process life changes and mental health issues.
The adults in your life might want you to see a therapist, but you feel it won't help you.
Conflict with friendships or difficulty making friends
Issues at school like grades, attendance, and bullying.
Getting along with the adults and siblings in your life.
Needing to be perfect at everything you do: school, sports, and other extracurricular activities
Feeling lost about your life while others pressure you to make a plan.
Depression, anxiety, or other intense and uncomfortable feelings.
Self-harm, such as cutting, burning, or hitting yourself.
Maybe you’re struggling with…
You want to feel better, but doubt anyone will understand you.
We want you to know that your therapist is genuinely capable of understanding you on a deeper level. Best yet, they aren’t your parents or guardians; rather, they are here specifically for you and your unique needs. They will not tell you what to do or dismiss your concerns; instead, they will actively listen and provide support as you work through your feelings. Your therapist will assist you in effectively solving and managing your personal issues in a safe and nurturing environment.
Here’s what we’ll do together.
Therapy can help you when you are struggling
During your first appointment, your therapist will meet with you and your parent or guardian to explain important therapy policies and how your parents can help you. Then, you will talk one-on-one with your therapist about your thoughts and feelings. Together, you will create a personalized treatment plan with specific goals.
Your therapist will provide a safe space for you to share your struggles without fear of judgment. Your parents will be involved to stay updated on your goals and progress, but your therapist won't share everything you say unless there is a serious safety concern. You can speak freely.
Sometimes, your parents may join the session to improve communication, and you'll be informed in advance to prepare. Your therapist will guide these discussions to support you in reaching your goals at home.
You will have regular meetings with your therapist every week or every other week, either virtually or in person. Your therapist is committed to working with you closely to help you achieve your goals, no matter what they may be.
What we will work on:
Imagine a life where you have…
Support in navigating intense emotions - It’s hard for parents or friends to give all the support a teen needs.
Better school performance: A therapist can help with schoolwork, maintaining focus, setting goals, and organizing time.
Self-confidence - The teenage years are important for building identity and self-confidence. A therapist can support your teen in finding themselves safely, responsibly, and confidently.
Stronger and healthier relationships - A therapist can be another trusted adult for your teen to talk to and help them set safe boundaries with others.
Direct support for mental health issues - Therapy can directly assist with mental health issues and help teens enhance their emotional well-being.
